Join us for the 20th Sherburne CROP Hunger Walk on Sunday, October 19, 2014.
This year’s Walk will be entirely on the grounds of Sherburne-Earlville Central School. It will begin on the corner of School and Classic Streets. There will be a canopy erected there with the registration table and refreshments under it. The Walk will be about 1.5 miles, partly uphill and downhill, and walkers may walk around it as many times as they like. The further they walk, the more money they will raise to fight world hunger.
Walkers will seek pledges of financial support for each half mile of the route they are able to walk. Following the event, walkers will collect pledges based on distance walked.
The Sherburne CROP Hunger Walk raises awareness and financial support for the anti-hunger efforts of St. Malachy’s Food Pantry, God’s Bread, God’s Bread Two, Earlville Food Pantry, and the global work of CWS.
