Tom Lange Memorial CROP Hunger Walk
This is the 26th annual TAC CROP Walk---a combined effort by area church communities, youth organizations and others walking together to help those in need of hunger and clean water programs. We want to make a difference and this is one of the ways we can work together!
We'll walk in the village along a clearly marked route. The entire walk is about 4 miles, start to return. It is possible to take the same route, but to make it shorter for any who wish to walk, but cannot manage the distance.
This is an annual event held to make a contribution to projects making a difference in the lives of people facing challenges in access to food and water. Those who volunteer to walk will seek donors to contribute to CROP—funds will be used for efforts locally and worldwide to fight hunger. 25% of funds raised will go to our own Town of Ulysses Food Pantry.
We had a great time last year walking together. We had families, youth clubs, groups of friends & individuals taking steps to help others! The remaining funds will be our outreach to other worthy projects. Refreshments will be provided for returning walkers & all volunteers by Trumansburg Area Congregations at the Presbyterian Church.
