Wake Forest Lydia Lowie CROP Hunger Walk

Sunday, September 28, 2014 • Wake Forest, NC

We've raised $4,163.00 online so far!

Wake Forest United Methodist Church
905 South Main St
Wake Forest

begins at 2:30 p.m.
Step-Off will be at 3 p.m. for the 3.5 mile walk.

We encourage all local supporters of the Wake Forest CROP Walk 2014, including those who walk, their sponsors, and all others who want to help out, to bring and donate non-perishable food items to the Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry van that will be parked near the Sign-In tables on Sunday, September 28, at 2:30 p.m.

CROP Hunger Walks are community-wide events sponsored by CWS and organized by local volunteers to raise funds to end hunger.

This 35th year for CROP Hunger Walk in Wake Forest includes a new Golden Sneaker Award Challenge. It is a traveling trophy that will be inscribed this year and in the future with the name of the walking team that raises the most money in donations. To qualify this year, teams will hand in all donations to the event treasurer by October 15, 2014.

Bring non-perishable food during the 2:30 p.m. sign-in. Add that food to the total collection for the Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry. Take “Helpie” photos of yourself and others in front of the pyramid of boxes and cans of food that will grow taller as individuals and teams drop off their contributions.

Before and after the walk, visit an activity table to write notes of encouragement to people in local households who will receive a grocery bag filled with food once a month from the Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry.
