Why I'm Walking on Sunday, 10/21/12 The group I'm walking with at Crop Walk is Fr. David's Memorial Group. Father David Valtierra was more than just a highly respected and admired spiritual advisor and church leader. He challenged all of us to work towards justice and peace, from our local community to around the world. I am proud to be walking in his honor and memory once again this year. If you'd like to be a part of this worthy cause, please donate at whatever level you feel comfortable. You would be surprised at how much even a small amount can do! My favorite thing about this organization is the don't just give a handout, they give a hand up! CROP Hunger Walks help children and families, both worldwide and right here in the U.S., to have food for today while building for a better tomorrow. Each year some two million CROP Walkers, volunteers, and sponsors put their hearts and "soles" in motion, walking to raise over $16 million per year to help end hunger and poverty around the world -- and in their own communities. ~ Lynne Kelly
