The Ecumenical faith community has important contributions to make in the shaping of U.S. global policies. In these challenging times, our voices are especially vital. For this reason, Church World Service has brought together an ecumenical group representing a number of our member denominations who are working to make our shared policy concerns known to the new President and Administration.

Together we have produced a statement entitled PDF icon A Policy Agenda for the New Administration. Endorsed by Church World Service, the National Council of Churches and nine of our member denominations, agencies or public policy offices, this statement summarizes key U.S. foreign policies that we urge the new President and Congress to implement.

These policy recommendations arise from the needs and concerns of millions of our faith-partners throughout the world and a theology that calls us to the ministry of compassion, justice and peacemaking.

Please take a look at our joint statement.  And add your voice by signing up to receive Speak Out action alerts for contacting the president and your members of Congress on timely legislative and policy decisions.

Thank you, and may God grant that the year ahead brings new strength to the prophetic advocacy voices of the ecumenical faith-community.
