Thank you to everyone who joined us at this year’s World Refugee Day celebration!

On June 16th, 2012, Lancaster Square was filled with the sounds of music from around the world. Three Chin Burmese girls performed a traditional dance and a group of Karen Burmese played traditional Karen music. A vocalist from Eritrea sang in her native language and several groups of Nepalese refugees performed.
Addisu Ethiopian Restaurant, Upohar Catering, and the Cuban Sandwich Truck sold food throughout the day and many local nonprofits shared their important work with the community.
We hope you will join us again next year for the 2013 World Refugee Day celebration!
