Speak Out to say, "Immigration reform can't wait!"

Decisions are being made now on whether immigration reform will be taken up in the House and Senate this year. Our nation needs immigration reform that reunites families, protects all workers and provides a way for undocumented immigrants to earn their legal status.

Decisions are being made now on whether immigration reform will be taken up in the House and Senate this year.  Our nation needs immigration reform that reunites families, protects all workers and provides a way for undocumented immigrants to earn their legal status.  Here are some ways to send a loud and clear message that immigration reform cannot wait:

• Come to Washington, D.C., March 19-22 for an immigration-focused Ecumenical Advocacy Days and/or for the March 21 “March for America” in support of immigration reform.  The latter starts at 2 p.m. on the National Mall and is expected to draw at least 80,000 people.
• Phone or fax your Senators and Representative NOW and tell them fair, humane immigration reform can’t wait!
• Host a community event for immigration reform.  Make sure to invite your members of Congress to your event.  Congress will be in recess March 26-April 11, so it’s a good time to seek meetings with them, too, in their home offices.
