Story of a Church World Service water project in Kenya

This sparkling documentary tells the story of the dramatic change experienced by a rural village in Kenya when Church World Service partners with them to build a sand dam to collect and store water in this drought prone region.  The women and girls of the village face tremendous hardships in their efforts to provide water for their families.  They walk for miles and hours every day to collect water in five gallon jugs and experience physical pain, frequent miscarriages and missed educational opportunities in the process.  But by working together with the help of CWS technical and financial help, their lives are tangibly and intangibly changed for the better.

You will be impressed by the dedication and expertise of Mary Obiero/CWS, who comes alongside this village and facilitates the great change.  You won’t soon forget these hardworking, forthright women.  Contact the Michigan Regional office for a free DVD. Also, visit CWS on YouTube at www.youtube.com/churchworldservice  to see this video and other amazing examples of Church World Service at work.

This is a story you won’t want to miss!
