Breaking ground for housing in Thatta, Pakistan
Some 500 families who lost their homes in Pakistan's 2010 severe flooding will have new homes, thanks to CWS help.  And many who have taken part in CWS-supported construction trades training will be able to use their new skills on the project.

CWS responds to severe late January storms and tornadoes
Severe storms impacted the U.S. south – Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi and Kentucky – on January 22 and 23, with Alabama being hit hard by a tornado. Storms also caused flooding in Oregon.

Indigenous community in Paraguay recovers ancestral land
The 70 Exhlet Sur indigenous families who make up the community of Kelyenmagategma, Paraguay, have sought their ancestral territory since 2000, even enduring violence and harassment for it.  CWS helped them recover some 21,600 acres they now can call home again.
