Farm workers now prepared for next hurricane threat
With the end of the Atlantic hurricane season, the farm workers of Pierson, Fla., are celebrating both the absence of storm damage this year and the opening of their new Community Disaster Center. The CWS-funded center stocks emergency food and medical supplies to meet vital needs whenever the next hurricane hits.
Celebrating volunteers on International Volunteer Day
We want to honor the volunteers helping CWS fight global hunger and poverty. Individuals, congregations and groups supply CWS Kits, organize CROP Hunger Walks, host Alternative Gift Fairs and contribute to CWS Blankets+ offerings. Your help makes all the difference.
