Preparing for what might happen
This week (Thursday) we observe International Disaster Risk Reduction Day.  CWS recognizes the world's poor are often the most vulnerable to disasters – especially in places like Indonesia.  See how CWS works to make sure communities in the nation of 18,000 islands are prepared for tsunamis.

Different minorities, same struggle
The CWS Latin America & Carribbean program recently brought together representatives from indigenous communities across South America's Gran Chaco region to help them learn sustainable farming and clean water techniques from each other.

Continuing to work in forgotten emergencies
The cameras - and even other agencies - have turned elsewhere but CWS continues to help people recover from floods in Pakistan and in Africa's worst famine in six decades.  Help now!
