Deteriorating conditions in East Africa
The East African drought continues to deepen, and an estimated 13.2 million people are now in urgent need of humanitarian assistance in Ethiopia, Somalia and Kenya.  CWS has expanded emergency food distributions and continues its longstanding "Water for Life" program to develop water sources in drought-affected areas of Kenya's Rift Valley and Eastern provinces.
