Long-term recovery continues in New Orleans

In late summer 2005, the people of New Orleans and the U.S. gulf coast experienced Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and the massive flooding that followed. Some of the survivors were evacuated to other parts of the country and are yet to return to the area. Many have been struggling to repair and rebuild their homes and communities, sometimes with the assistance of volunteers. Here are a few glimpses of those efforts.
