Making fish puppets and a mobile

Making Fish Mobiles

Fish puppets
Materials: card stock, glue, sequins, glitter, craft sticks, “wiggly” eyes

  1. Draw fish shapes onto card stock — the back side of a cereal box will work.
  2. Glue on a plastic “wiggly” eye and decorate the fish scales by gluing on either sequins or glitter.
  3. Tape a craft stick on the back to make this into a stick puppet.
  4. Use the puppets to retell the story from Bolivia

Fish mobile
Materials: craft foam, scissors, sequins, glitter, glue, marker, coat hanger, fish line

  1. Cut out fish shapes from craft foam and decorate the same way you did the puppets.
  2. On the back side of each fish, write items that are made available through the CWS Blankets+ Program (nets, rafts, hoes, wells, goats, cattle, for example).
  3. Use fishing line attached to the top of each one and onto a coat hanger to make a mobile of a “school” of fish.
  4. This can be hung in a place to remind your congregation what they can do to help people help themselves through CWS.
